Ambulance Driver/Assistant

As an ambulance driver/assistant, you and your colleague will be responsible for transporting deceased individuals. In your work, you will have an active role in planning, executing, and taking responsibility for the tasks according to the routines and directives from the company's management.

Politivagn Stockholm is an ambulance company that performs transport of deceased individuals on behalf of Police Authorities and Municipalities. The working hours consist of shift work and are based at the company's location in Fruängen's center. We work based on a common value foundation where professionalism, dignity, pride, and respect for the assignment are fundamental.

Job responsibilities:

The job involves staffing an ambulance in teams of two and alternating between driver and assistant; the work requires good cooperation with employees from both the Police Authority, the National Board of Forensic Medicine, municipal residences, and other external residences.

In the assistant's role, you will be responsible for receiving phone orders and establishing driving orders.

The team is also responsible for vehicle care, the shared premises, and handling work and consumable materials during the work shift. The job involves a certain degree of freedom under responsibility.

Qualifications: Preferably a C license

Requirements:

. Secondary education of 2 years or equivalent

. Driving license B

. Good driving experience

. Good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written

. Stable psyche and good physical ability as the job may involve heavy lifting

Meritorious:

. Driving experience with light trucks or equivalent

. Good local knowledge of Stockholm County

. Experience from work in transport, passenger transport, or the ambulance industry

. Experience from healthcare or service professions

. Have a good empathetic ability as the work sometimes involves encounters with people in difficult situations.

Employment conditions:

We apply individual salary setting in accordance with the guidelines of the Union. Depending on the degree of employment, a fixed monthly salary or hourly wage is applied. A criminal record check will be conducted before employment in accordance with the Police Authority's requirements.

Working hours:

Currently, we are looking for full-time staff who can work 5 days/week from Monday to Friday

The working hours may vary between days and nights in different weeks

Other:

Our workgroup is smoke-free. The work is conducted in uniform, and the company provides uniforms.
